What is instaSpace?
A two-minute orientation — what instaSpace does, who it's for, and the four jobs it speeds up.
Welcome. Before you touch a contract, it's worth two minutes to understand what instaSpace is and how you'll work in it — so everything that follows feels familiar.
instaSpace is an AI workspace for legal work. You bring a document or a question, and it helps you review, redline, draft, or research — in a chat-style workspace that keeps your documents and past conversations right beside you. It's built for in-house counsel, law firms, and legal operations teams who want to move faster without giving up the rigor their work demands.

The four core jobs
Almost everything in instaSpace comes back to four things legal teams do every day. The rest of this handbook is built around them:
Review
Analyze a contract for risks, obligations and one-sided terms.
Redline
Propose changes to an agreement, with rationale you can defend.
Draft
Create clauses or whole documents from a short brief.
Research
Benchmark language against market standard, with sources.
How you'll work
A session always follows the same simple shape:
- Bring a document or a question — upload a contract, pull one from your Vault, or just start typing.
- Ask in plain language — "review this NDA for one-sided terms," the way you'd brief a colleague. There's no special syntax to learn.
- Read the answer, with its sources — instaSpace replies with a structured answer and points back to the exact parts of your document, so you can verify every claim.
- Take it further — ask follow-ups, export to Word, file the result into a matter, or save your approach as a reusable playbook.
Where the work lives
The chat is where work gets done; the left rail is where it's kept. Under Work you'll find:
- Intake — the front door. Mail sent to your workspace's intake address becomes a reviewable case before it becomes anything else.
- Matters — one scope per piece of work, gathering its documents, requests, conversations and signatures in a single place.
- Requests — what colleagues have asked the legal team for, raised, triaged and tracked in one queue.
- Signatures — what's out for signing, and who still owes you one.
Under Library sit the things you reuse: the vault, playbooks, templates and contacts.
None of it is required on day one. Start in the chat; the rest is there when the work outgrows a single conversation.
instaSpace assists your judgment; it doesn't replace it. Treat its output like a sharp junior's first draft — fast and thorough, but always worth your review.
That's the whole idea. Next, you'll sign in and run it for real.
