instaSpace
Getting Started
Lesson 3 of 29

Your first session

Finish the one-minute setup so instaSpace tailors itself to your work.

The very first time you sign in, instaSpace runs a brief setup. It takes under a minute, and it's worth doing properly: your answers shape how instaSpace pitches everything it gives you afterwards.

What it asks

Who you are

Your name, and optionally your role — Lawyer, General Counsel, In-house Legal, Legal Operations, or Other. This sets the level it pitches answers at.

The work you do most

Pick the jobs you expect to do often — Review, Redline, Draft, Research. You can choose several, and change them any time.

Your first task

Finish by uploading a document, trying a sample, or jumping straight in. If you upload, instaSpace pre-fills a prompt matched to the use case you chose.

Not ready with a real document? Choose Try a sample — instaSpace loads an example contract so you can see a full review without uploading anything.

You can change it later

None of this is locked in. Everything you set here lives in Settings → Account, under Your work — update your role or focus areas whenever your work changes.

The Account settings page, where the role and focus areas chosen during setup can be changed.
Anything you set during setup can be changed later, in Settings → Account.

With setup done, you land in the assistant — and you're ready for your first real task.
